Warner Bros. could be betting big with a revival of sitcom Full House, which may star some of the original cast.
Variety reports that actor John Stamos is pushing for the project which will follow other nostalgic reboots such as Disney’s Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World.
The ABC sitcom, which ran from 1987- 1995, also starred Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron, Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, and Scott Weinger.
Reruns of the popular show, which originally featured on the network’s TGIF, still average 1.5 million viewers.
While Stamos will almost certainly return to the show -- the Olsen twins will be a little harder to persuade, having amassed a multi-million dollar fortune through their clothing line and videos, since the show wrapped nearly 20 years ago.
And just as reboots and remakes have dominated the big screen for the past two decades, the trend looks set to take over television, too.
Rival network CBS is rebooting The Odd Couple?yet again, having revived the show in 1982, with the original running from 1970-75. The new incarnation will feature Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon as the central pair.
Back to Full House, and original series creator Jeff Franklin and executive?producer?Bob Boyett are also pushing for the show’s return. Stamos briefly discussed the potential spin-off on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" saying: "We're sort of working on a twist on a sequel."
Stay tuned for more Full House revivial news.
