Happy 75th Birthday, Batman!

It’s Batman’s 75th anniversary, and DC Comics is going all out to celebrate! From comics to TV shows to the early 1990s animated series to the films (including Michael Keaton and Tim Burton’s take, which opened 25 years ago) to video games (the Arkham series comes to mind) to Batkid, and now Ben Affleck as the new Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Caped Crusader has left a major mark in pop culture history. And that’s to say nothing of Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale’s spectacular trilogy, with the definitive take on The Joker, with the late, great Heath Ledger.
To help celebrate, here’s a very cool Batman short film from the incredible Bruce Timm, who helped shape Batman in the early-to-mid 1990′s with the great animated series (and other DC-related films):
DC Comics/Entertainment and Warner Bros. will be celebrating big-time, including all sorts of panels and goodies at Comic-Con, and we’ll have full coverage for you when the doors open. One more video I’d like to share, and that’s a montage of legendary Heath Ledger’s Oscar-winning performance of the Joker:
