My name is Kimberly Fabio. I grew up in both the Caribbean and New England area and currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Syracuse University in New York and my Master of Fine Arts degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina. The primary subject of my work is the human figure, but I also enjoy painting flowers and still life. I have a strong passion for teaching art and I believe every student is a unique individual who deserves a caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow as a learner. As a teacher, I would like to help students meet their fullest potential through the sharing of ideas and risk taking. The key element I believe creates the ideal environment is the teacher acts as a guide. Through step-by-step instruction, you will be successful. In addition to being a Grumbacher Certified Instructor teaching drawing and painting, I am also a college professor who teaches Art Appreciation and Art History at Rowan Cabarrus Community College in North Carolina.
