My name is Anush (ahnoosh). For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to draw and paint. I was brought up in Los Angeles surrounded by love and family. My mother was an artist and my father a musician, and I grew up encouraged to pursue my art. My dream was to become an illustrator of children's books, but I have - through the years - gone down so many other avenues. In 2018 I had a show at Roslin Gallery called "Coffeescapes". The show featured blown up abstracts of "fortunes" that I copied from the inside of coffee cups. The paintings are done in Armenian coffee. My Armenian heritage continues to be a source of inspiration in my art. I love working in pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolors, Armenian coffee, acrylics, metal clay, beads, and most recently producing digital art on my iPad.
