Teresa Roberts Logan’s varied art and writing career spans 30 years. After earning a BFA in Graphic Design, she worked as an artist for Hallmark Cards. After leaving Hallmark, Teresa split her time between life as a standup comic and artist for the next 20 years, living in Colorado. There she returned to her first love, painting large oil canvases. While in Denver, she worked as a Creative Director for two different card companies (one traditional, one digital) over 10 years, working again with other artists and writers to create products, all the while continuing to paint and to show artwork in galleries, festivals, and other venues. Her work is in collections from London to Hydra to Brisbane to LA, and is represented in corporate and in private collections including the extensive art collections of Kyoko Ono and Whoopi Goldberg. Her paintings have been shown in Denver, DC, Santa Fe, and San Francisco. After leaving the Creative Director position, Ms. Logan began her own company, Laughing Redhead Studio, Inc. She has a cartoon book available from Andrews McMeel: "The Older I Get, The Less I Care," as well as two coloring books, POSH: Paisleys, and POSH: Mandalas. A Silver Reuben-nominated cartoonist (for her work in greeting cards) and licensing artist, her work has been featured at the National Stationery Show, the Illustration Conference, the Licensing Expo International, New York ComicCon, SPX, and ArtEXPO New York. Making time beyond her art, Teresa volunteered extensively to fundraise for persons with AIDS by creating a greeting card line through the Legacy Foundation, and has worked with Alzheimer’s patients to create watercolor artworks with the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado. In DC, Teresa led a weekly writing group at Miriam's Kitchen, working with homeless writers to share their stories. She was the DC Chapter Chair for the National Cartoonists Society. She now makes her home in Pittsburgh, where she continues her cartooning, comics, and making art journals. She loves travel, being a mom, and reading everything from Jane Austen to Stephen King.
