My Art encompasses my insight on the human condition with a specific concentration on the effects of the system of injustice designed to create the disenfranchisement and poverty within the minority communities of the United States. This process comes from my metaphysical plane, the personal struggles of my ancestry ,family & friends. Throughout the course of my development as an artist I have cultivated my own style. Always exploring new ideas and new studies within my concentration. Acrylic paint with poetry are the mediums that allow me the most freedom to express my true thought and intention,the poetry allows the person to know my process intimately and the thought behind the painting itself. This is applied primarily on canvas;however, I am very experimental and explore how paint adheres to all surfaces from wood to metal. My art is simplistic yet powerful I use the shapes to create movement within stillness. These works have been presented in a variety of venues and galleries nationally with always a positive reception. As I grow as a student of life and the world my true objective is to always concern my art with voicing truth about society as a whole and providing Art therapy to communities without art outlets.Hunger does not describe the real necessity for art in my life as my vision goes beyond the realm of the physical. Without eyes I would find a way to show my voice within the depths of darkness while I have breath in this shell. I have an obligation to the people who have come before me and my twin brother who was taken back home by the creator to live and speak the way I saw my him fight to do everyday and preserve the minds of our youth the future leaders with art expression. •Objective By utilizing several technique learned at my time at the Chicago Institute being traditional sketching acrylic painting, action painting, camaieu painting and having developed my own approach to my art I create visuals that are compelling and inspiring.
