Xilena is an artist, poet, and Rheumatoid Arthritis advocate who seeks to document her largely successful struggle against chronic illness in a manner that underscores the inspiring and empowering bravery demonstrated by chronically-ill people. She recently completed her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with Honours from York University, graduating as a member of the Dean Roll. Specialising in portrait and oil paintings, she has since began selling her work by taking on commission jobs and exhibiting her paintings at small art Galleries across Toronto!
